About the event

Intuitive Eating helps us connect and trust with our body, cultivates an awareness of different types of hunger cues, can provide more enjoyment and pleasure in eating, support us in letting go of unhelpful judgments, and aid us in getting reconnected to our heart center. Somatic practices encompass a series of movements that help us focus on body awareness and develop a self-directed connection between mind, body, and spirit. Together intuitive eating and somatics help us genuinely connect to our bodies so we are better able to get in touch with our authentic needs and develop body trust.

Intuitive Eating Principals can be applied to all people – even while on medical directives, eating for specific Ayurvedic types, cultural specifications, and other preferences. Becoming an intuitive eater involves feeling safe and in sync with our body and experiencing a somatically restored union with our mind, body, and spirit. When we are intuitive eaters, we can love our unique bodies and come home to our own natural embodied wisdom. We experience somatic healing and freedom from complex relationships with food by understanding the stages of changing our relationship with food and our connection to ourselves. Because we are returning to our natural intuitive senses and reconnecting to our internal body wisdom, we cultivate a sense of compassionate self-care rather than ridged self-control. It is through this compassionate lens that we are able to rebecome intuitive eaters.
