Dr. Hasmik Chakaryan, PhD, LPC

Dr. Chakaryan is an Associate Professor and the clinical director of the Department of Professional Counseling at Webster University.

She has obtained her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Toledo in 2013. In addition to teaching and supervising, Dr. Chakaryan's career involves social justice advocacy for change and for advancing equity and justice for underrepresented, marginalized and other victim populations. Her research has focused on internationalizing clinical counseling for the past 10 years. Dr. Chakaryan continues her research and clinical work with special populations, specifically victims and survivors of sexual assault, rape, Intimate Partner Violence and refugees and immigrants in addition to her full-time job at a private practice in Webster Groves.
